Super Mario 64 DS for the Nintendo DS is a remake of Super Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64. In it you can play as Yoshi, Mario, Luigi, and Wario, compared to the Nintendo 64's version, which only allows you to play as Mario.

In this game, Mario, Luigi, and Wario have been trapped by Bowser's minions, and it's up to Yoshi to help collect Power Stars and defeat bosses to unlock them and rescue the castle.

As in Super Mario 64, The courses are acessed by the different paintings on the castle's walls, but in the DS game, the player can collect 150 power stars, 30 more then the original game.
