Wing and a Scare

Template:Minigame-infobox Wing and a Scare is a Duel minigame in Mario Party 8. Its name is a pun on the idiom "wing and a prayer", which a person hopes they will succeed even though there is little chance of it happening.

Introduction

The player will launch off the edge of a stone structure, on a plane. The whole city seems to be in air, floating. The game will start.

Gameplay

The objective is to reach the finish first. There will be circular objects, with holes on them. The player must maneuver through these by tilting their plane, meaning the Wii Remote. Sometimes there will be other objects such as Columns, which also must be dodged. The first player to get to the finish line wins. If both players make it to the goal at the same time or if five minutes pass, the minigame is considered a tie.

Ending

The winner will be flying through the city, confetti falling behind him or her. However, if both players reach the goal or if five minutes pass, nothing else will happen as "Tie" will appear on screen.

• Rules – "Tilt the wings of your plane as you try to clear the obstacles and reach the finish line first."
• Hint – "If you hit an obstacle or trap, your aircraft will rebound and you'll lose time!"
