Wart is a large, frog-like creature in Super Mario Bros. 2 who attempted to capture the dream land of Subcon. He was thwarted by Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach Toadstool, and Toad. It was discovered that his weakness was his allergy to vegetables and he could be defeated by simply tossing these into his mouth.
Wart's only form of attack is to spit bubbles from his mouth while walking back and forth on a platform. For an unknown reason he kept his allergy of vegetables in his throne room, it is possible this was so he could keep a close check on where all vegetables were in Subcon.
Wart was never seen in a Mario game since Super Mario Bros. 2. However Birdo and Shy Guy, members of his army, now appear very routinely in Mario spin-offs and adventures.
