- In New Super Luigi U's opening cutscene, Mario's Cap is seen where he was sitting in New Super Mario Bros. U, but he actually isn't there.
- In Paper Mario: Sticker Star, when Mario uses the Boom Box sticker, a remixed version of Space Zone Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins will play.
