Not to be confused with Galoomba.

Template:Spmenemybox Gloombas are blue Goombas that appear in the Paper Mario series. Gloombas live deep underground, in areas such as Toad Town Tunnels and the Pit of 100 Trials. These Goombas are much more powerful than their surface-dwelling cousins. It is said that a Gloomba gets its blue hue from living without sunlight and are possibly based off the blue Goombas Mario encounters in the underground levels of Super Mario Bros. In the Prima Super Paper Mario strategy guide, it is stated that Gloombas can poison the player, although this is false.
