Imbobilize

Immobilized is a status ailment in the Paper Mario series.

In the first Paper Mario, Immobilized is an uncommon status effect. It could be inflicted by the Stop Watch or Time Out. While Immobilized, the victim is unable to move for several turns.

This status effect reappeared in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. This time it could be inflicted with the Stop Watch and Clock Out; the latter of which could affect either enemies, Mario and his partner, or even the Audience. It has a lower chance of working on bosses or stronger enemies; for example it only has a 50% chance of working on Magnus von Grapple, while Crazee Dayzees have only a 30% chance and Bill Blasters are immune. [1].

This ailment once again appears in Paper Mario: Sticker Star. In this game, the status effect is brought about in the form of the "Tacked", "Clipped", "Stopped", "Frozen", "Soggy", "Taped", "Stapled", or "Crumpled" statuses. Victims of the Soggy and Crumpled status receive double damage, and enemies that are Stapled are damaged as soon as the status is inflicted.
