Template:Smrpgenemy An Arachne is a large black and yellow arachnid with three red eyes. They lived in Rose Way during the events of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Arachnes are physically powerful and have a high defense rating. As such, these spiders can be a serious threat to adventurers. Strangely, despite being so strong, Arachnes never attack on their own; they always aid other monsters in battle. During a confrontation, the Arachne attacks by gouging its victim with two deadly fangs. The spider monster also knows the special attack Venom Drool, which allows the Arachne to poison an opponent. Although physically strong, Arachnes are susceptible to magic attacks.

Arachnes are close relatives of Spinthras.
