“Come again to Nintendo Land, and bring your friends! I'll always be eagerly anticipating your return.”
Monita, Nintendo Land

Template:Character-infobox Monita is a robotic creature who is the host of Nintendo Land for the Wii U. It has a feminine voice and is designed to be female (although it is a robot and therefore has no real gender). When the game is first played, Monita is trapped in a ? Block and the player must tap it on the Wii U GamePad to free it. It then teaches the player's Mii the basic controls in the hub world. After this, the Central Tower is revealed and the player is able to access all the attractions. It also appears to congratulate the player on their achievements or give tutorials for the attractions. In some attractions, such as Luigi's Ghost Mansion, it fulfills the role of the player character when the number of players is not the maximum of five.

Monita also has her own Dark Counterpart called Dark Monita, who looks identical to the real Monita except for the fact that Dark Monita wears a jester hat. Dark Monita appears in the games Pikmin Adventure and Metroid Blast to summon monsters for the player to fight. Even though Monita (probably sarcastically) calls Dark Monita an "Evil Overlord" and "the toughest enemy that the player will face", Dark Monita doesn't seem to actually be evil and it just tries to give the players a challenge.
