What's the purpose of the # of revisions?
The preceding unsigned comment was added by Plumber (talk).

What does it mean by source? Does it mean the game it was in or the website he image was from?Knife (talk) 16:59, 24 August 2007 (EDT)

That's a good question, I see both being used frequently. Also, in recent pictures of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, I only the the game in the Subject, not what's displayed in it. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 17:03, 24 August 2007 (EDT)
Supposed to be website it was retrieved from, for credit. Wa Yoshihead.png TC@Y 21:28, 24 August 2007 (EDT)

Source

Alot of pictures label the source as what game its from not the website. Mario riding YoshiXzelionETC

More recently, some pictures also only note the game as the Subject. (Those from Brawl) - Cobold (talk · contribs) 15:20, 30 September 2007 (EDT)
Also maybe there should be a section to show what game the picture is from and maybe a description variable. Opinions? Mario riding YoshiXzelionETC
Yep, we should have one. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 12:48, 15 October 2007 (EDT)

3D indicator

Proposal.svg This talk page section contains an unresolved talk page proposal. Please try to help and resolve the issue by voting or leaving a comment.

A few months ago, I uploaded a few screenshots of 3DS games like AR Games and Face Raiders with 3D data in them (I will do this again soon). My idea is to create a indicator in {{Aboutfile}} so people see it has 3D data in it. See my draft page for the result. Example images: GiantARcard.jpg, FaceRaiderGameplay.JPG and HNI 0001.JPG.

Support

  1. Lakituthequick (talk) My proposal
  2. Knife (talk) – Why not do what Walkazo suggested in tandem with a small icon in the corner? I think now would be a good time to implement a small cosmetic change like that before 3D images become widescale.
  3. B.wilson (talk) Weak Support per Knife. I am !voting support because, although I agree with !votes in the "oppose" section, I agree with Knife as with implementing this. I may change my !vote if consensus happens to change.
  4. SWFlash (talk) Per proposal and Knife.

Oppose

  1. Walkazo (talk) - It can just be noted in the description that the image is 3D when viewed with a 3DS, and a proper explanation like that seems more functional than a tiny little symbol off in the corner and a vague "This image is available in 3D" caption that's only visible if you think to hover your mouse over that symbol.
  2. Raven Effect (talk) Per Walkazo
  3. M&SG (talk) - Per Walkazo's statement.
  4. Skyward Yoshi (talk) Per Walkazo.
  5. Commander Code-8 (talk) Just put it in the description, and it should be relatively easy to know if the image is 3D or not anyway
  6. Mario4Ever (talk) Per Walkazo.
  7. Magikrazy51 (talk) Per Walky.
  8. Hyper Yoshi (talk) Most people won't even see it.

Comments

Should there be category called 3D images or something Commander Code-8 (talk)

This wiki should allow the upload of .MPO files. SWFlashSWFlash.svg

@SWFlash: You should bring that up with Steve.--Knife (talk) 13:51, 7 January 2012 (EST)

@Walkazo: But 3DS owners will recognize that icon from 3DS Camera and the browser.
@SWFlash: Not yet necessary, just changing the extension in JPG does the job. Lakituthequick (talk)

But if they're on the image page, they'll already know it's a 3D image just by looking at the image itself: they wouldn't need the icon. - Walkazo 21:20, 11 January 2012 (EST)
How do they know that by looking at it? Lakituthequick (talk)
