Bonefin Galaxy

Template:Galaxybox The Bonefin Galaxy is a galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy. This galaxy, like the Drip Drop Galaxy, is basically a large body of water with a solid core. However, unlike the Drip Drop Galaxy, this galaxy has a large, spiky shell shielding most of it. This galaxy is home to Kingfin, a gigantic skeletal shark that Mario must defeat to earn a Power Star.

To unlock this Galaxy, the player must have at least 55 stars and have the Drip Drop Galaxy fully completed.

This is a large planet with a very large body of water and a small rock core. The planet is surrouned by an expansive spiky shell made of stone. Kingfin and his Fishbone minions live here. The planet has many strange structures including underwater geysers. There is a hidden 1-Up Mushroom inside a submerged glowing treasure chest and a Life Mushroom hidden in some rocks.

In the first and only level, Mario must defeat Kingfin by attacking him with Red or Green Shells. After Kingfin takes one hit, he will summon hoardes of Fishbones that will home in on Mario's position to attack him. Once Kingfin has been hit a total of five times, he will crumble and release a Power Star.

• The Bonefin Galaxy is the only bonus galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy in which Mario must fight a boss.
• The Bonefin Galaxy is the only galaxy within a dome that must have a mission from outside of the domes to unlock.
• This galaxy features the exact same background as the Ghostly Galaxy and the Boo's Boneyard Galaxy.
