I quickly checked Smash Wiki, and they decided not to use the numbers except for in the introductions of their Smash Ultimate character articles. Thus, I don't think this proposal can be opposed on the basis of it belonging on Smash Wiki. (This [[smashwiki:Talk:Fighter#Add_fighter_numbers|talk section]] states this directly, linking to this [[smashwiki:Talk:Fighter/Archive_3#Fighter_Numbers|talk section]], which shows the debate but not a decision. I'm assuming that a decision was reached on another page somewhere.)
