I know this doesn't really make a lot of sense, but I think Dr Crygor's redesign is from his genes being mixed with the apple. I suppose it's kinda silly. How would an ''apple'' make Dr. Crygor more cyborg? But this would explain his metal being red and the apple being gone after the transformation. Dr. Crygor's redesign
