Inside this planet, shaped like wooden toys, the gravity changes depending on Mario's actions or the place where he is standing. A [[Warp Pipe]] in the ceiling takes the player to the Crate Planet. The [[Toad Brigade]] is found here. There is also another Warp Pipe that leads to a bonus area with a Fire Flower and crates. There is another Warp Pipe that leads to the Crate Planet.

The outside of this planet features four structures shaped like wooden toys and a warp pipe leading inside the planet, which the player lands on as soon as they enter the galaxy. After entering the pipe, the player is warped to an area made up of wooden blocks and [[gravity field]]s that change depending on the player's actions or the place where they are standing. The [[Toad Brigade]] is found at the beginning of the planet. A [[Warp Pipe]] in the ceiling at the beginning of the level leads to a small area with a [[Fire Flower]] and crates. This planet is infested with [[Swaphopper]]s and [[Goomba]]s. The first part of the planet consists of a linear road with a few levers that need to be hit in order to change gravity. As the level progresses, more dangerous enemies like Thwomps and Chomps appear and there are also platforms that take the player dangerously close to [[black hole]]s. Some [[Banandelion]]s positioned at various locations inside the planet aid the player in reaching different areas. Halfway through the planet, the player needs to burn the crates with the [[Fire Flower]]. The gravity changes after the player progresses past this point. At the end of this planet, the [[Power Star]] is behind more Thwomps. If the player is hacking, they can fly back to the starting planet, which isn't solid.

Mario must change the gravity to reach a pipe in the ceiling near the beginning of the level. There, he must burn some crates with the Fire Flower to find a pipe that will take him to a planet full of crates where he can ask a Gearmo to burn them in twenty seconds to get the star.

Rightside Down Galaxy is a galaxy that appears in Super Mario Galaxy 2. The galaxy features gravity changes, represented by arrows in the background, much like the later Upside Dizzy Galaxy. Part of the galaxy may be played upside down, frontways (which is visually the same as a top-down view), and other directions. Enemies that appear in this galaxy include Goombas, Paragoombas, a Spiny Piranha Plant, Thwomps, and Swaphoppers. The music changes depending on the direction of gravity. The Fire Flower makes its first appearance in Super Mario Galaxy 2 in this galaxy. This is one of the only two galaxies in World 1 without a Prankster Comet (besides the Green Comet), the other being the Fluffy Bluff Galaxy.
