| '''World 2-5''' is the fifth level in the desert that is World 2 in ''[[New Super Mario Bros.]]'' for the [[Nintendo DS]]. It introduces [[Blockhopper]]s, creatures masquerading as towers of [[Block]]s. This is also one of the few levels to contain a [[Boomerang Bro.]]. [[Mario]] has 400 seconds to complete the level or else he'll lose a life. The half way point is located by the second power up wielding block near 3 gray platform blocks. At the end of the level, Mario can use a Blockhopper to reach the top of the flag pole and gain a life.

| The first Star Coin is located above the first group of [[Brick Block]]s. The player has to use a Blockhopper to reach the coin.

| The second Star Coin is found after the half way point at a spot where there is a mass group of gray platforms blocks with a [[Fire Snake]] and a blockhopper. There is also many coins floating near a floating trio of Brick Blocks, which the player should avoid collecting. The middle block contains a [[Switch Block]] that will transform the coins into blocks. Mario (or [[Luigi]]) must use the blocks to get the Star Coin.

| The final Star Coin is at the end. Once Mario reaches the pipe leading to the end of the level, there is quicksand and a Boomerang Bro.. The player must fall into the quicksand without sinking into the bottom. The player has to continuously jump under the area where the Boomerang Bro. is. Once the wall is reached, there should be a group of gray platform blocks that can be walked in front of. This will bring the player to another part of the level. The player has to follow down the path and the player will come to a chamber. The player must use the Blockhopper to reach the final Star Coin.
