The player starts out in a small field that contains some [[Stilt Guy|Shy-Guys on Stilts]], a [[Warp Pipe]] and a large [[Spring Ball]] that leads to a door. Inside the door are three [[Shy Guy|Shy-Guy]]s, a [[Yellow Egg]], a [[Flashing Egg]] and a [[Red Egg]]. The Warp Pipe leads to the next area.
 
The next area is a cave area. A little into the area is a small Spring Ball that leads to a platform where a large Spring Ball must be used to reach higher up into the area. After getting to this part of the level, the player will encounter a [[Flatbed Ferry]] that leads outside.


==Overview==
The next area is a field that contains several Shy-Guys on Stilts and the [[Checkpoint Ring|Middle Ring]]. This area also has an [[! Switch]] that leads to a secret area. In the secret area is a [[morph bubble]] that will transform the player into the [[Mole Tank]], which is needed to find the two [[Red Coin]]s in the area. After leaving the secret area, the player will need to [[Ground Pound]] a [[Post]] to go to the next area.


The level starts off in a simple field. The player soon encounters his or her first Stilt Guys, which must be jumped on twice (or be jumped and eaten) to be defeated. Three of these are strolling in the field. Once the player reaches the far right, he or she can jump to the above wooden platform and before going through through the [[Warp Pipe|pipe]], jump up to reach a door. Upon entering this door, the player finds two Flashing Eggs, a Yellow Egg and three [[Shy Guy]]s. The player can also jump even higher to reach a secret ? Cloud containing some stars. Once the player exits, he or she should enter the pipe.
The next area contains some [[Fang]]s, Shy-Guys on Stilts and Lantern Ghosts. After going through a small passage in the cave, there will be some mushroom platforms that lead to a [[Beanstalk]] that leads to a spring ball that leads outside of the cave into a small area that contains the [[Goal Ring]].

Inside there is a small, dark cave. The player must use his or her jumping skills to grab coins, stars and proceed. The player should try to collect the [[Special Flower]] and the coins scattered around. The player finds his or her way outside once again by riding a yellow platform.

==Transformations==
Once outside, the player should make sure to flutter jump and collect the red coins just above. As the player continues the way, he or she bumps into several other Stilt Guys. The player should either ignore them or eat them for eggs. There is a point in which Yoshi walks over a bridge of sorts and notice a Special Flower below. To obtain it, the player must [[Ground Pound]] the pole at the start of the "bridge" and make sure to eat all Stilt Guys. Once the player does that, he or she should grab the Special Flower and coins with ease. Upon proceeding, the player spots a ? Cloud. While optional, the player should hit it for a secret entrance to show up. If the player takes it, Yoshi has the chance to morph into the [[Mole Tank]] and dig for two red coins hidden in the level. After grabbing them, the player may leave and appear just where she or he was. After that, the player should ground pound one of the two poles to collect the Special Flower and throw an egg at the [[Piranha Plant]] for a red coin. If the player keeps going forward, he or she enters a new Underground Area.

Once again, this cave is quite dark. Fangs appear in the game for the first time here. As the player goes forward, he or she finds a red platform. The player must make sure not to fall, as he or she does not get another opportunity to ride this moving platform because it never appears again. Once the player gets to the top, he or she must throw an egg at the wall and make it bounce to grab the Special Flower. There is an infinite supply of [[Lantern Ghost]]s, so the player can retry. Once back down, the player must head to the far right and throw an egg at the ? Cloud to make a giant sunflower appear. Then, the player should climb it to get out of the cave.

Shy-Guys On Stilts is the sixth level of World 1 and overall of the games Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. It is the first level in which the titular Shy-Guys on Stilts are seen, and also the first level in which the player can find Flashing Eggs. This is also the first level with Fang in it. This level's playable Yoshi is the brown Yoshi.

Overview[edit]

The player starts out in a small field that contains some Shy-Guys on Stilts, a Warp Pipe and a large Spring Ball that leads to a door. Inside the door are three Shy-Guys, a Yellow Egg, a Flashing Egg and a Red Egg. The Warp Pipe leads to the next area.

The next area is a cave area. A little into the area is a small Spring Ball that leads to a platform where a large Spring Ball must be used to reach higher up into the area. After getting to this part of the level, the player will encounter a Flatbed Ferry that leads outside.

The next area is a field that contains several Shy-Guys on Stilts and the Middle Ring. This area also has an ! Switch that leads to a secret area. In the secret area is a morph bubble that will transform the player into the Mole Tank, which is needed to find the two Red Coins in the area. After leaving the secret area, the player will need to Ground Pound a Post to go to the next area.

The next area contains some Fangs, Shy-Guys on Stilts and Lantern Ghosts. After going through a small passage in the cave, there will be some mushroom platforms that lead to a Beanstalk that leads to a spring ball that leads outside of the cave into a small area that contains the Goal Ring.
