At the start of the level, Yoshi must advance forward, encountering his first Boo. Yoshi will then find a ! Switch which creates a bridge to the other side of the room. Yoshi will also encounter his first Big Boo and get his first flower. Here, a Boo and a Big Boo along with some Red Coins can be found. Yoshi will find a door, leading to the next room. Yoshi will now see a door and a Winged Cloud. If Yoshi doesn't have any eggs to hit the Winged Cloud, then Yoshi should go through the door. Yoshi will find two Big Boos and some eggs. If the player wants to get a hidden flower, defeat the two Big Boos in the room. After, exit through the door and hit the Winged Cloud and a staircase will appear. As the player advances, they will find a couple of Gustys and another Winged Cloud, this time containing 5 stars. Another ! Switch is present, which will create a path to the Winged Cloud. Yoshi must look at the arrows on the wall and throw an egg there, which will hit the Winged Cloud. Yoshi will now get a key, and go back to the place where Yoshi entered from, encountering some Boo Guys. After, Yoshi will unlock the door. Then, the player will climb up to the pipe, while encounter Boos and Big Boos and collecting red coins and a flower. Yoshi will now go down the pipe. Then, Yoshi will then push over the Crate, and ride the Flatbed Ferry, which will lead him to the Middle Ring and a flower. The player will find another ! Switch. Yoshi will move on foreward, avoiding Boo Blahs and entering another pipe. Yoshi will be in a room with lava, Firebars, Boos, and a log to travel on the surface of the lava while collecting coins. The player will now enter the pipe. In this room, Several Boos, Big Boos, Eggs, and Coins are located. The player will also find a destructible block disguised as the ceiling that will lead to the door they saw earlier. In this specific room, the lights are dimmed, and a couple of Boo Balloons that both contain ! Switches and a Boo Man Bluff are present, along with a flower. There are a lot of Coins that will become visible when Yoshi presses the ! Switch. The player should now go to the other door. Here, there is a Middle Ring and some rotating platforms. The boss door is located high above the room. In here, a lonely Big Boo can be found, which gets transformed into Bigger Boo with Kamek's magic. Bigger Boo fights alongside with Swoopers. After he is defeated, Yoshi will gain access to the next level, Watch Out For Lakitu.
