Unlike the normal Bandits, Coin Bandits are colored in a very pastel-esque pink and run away from Yoshi on sight. Thier name comes from the red coin that they always sport above thier heads. If Yoshi gets the coin from them, their behavior then reverts to that of normal Bandits.

Oddly, the Bandits found in the Paper Mario series have the same coloration as Coin Bandits (although they are a more normal, vibrant red and lack the purple gloves found on a Coin Bandit).
