Somersault is advanced type of Jump introduced in Super Mario 64. The moved is often used to reach high places without moving, although it expends slightly more time than other forms of Jump. To use it, the player must Jump while Crouching. The character flips over backward a couple of times and the character may chain it to a Ground Pound. In Super Mario Sunshine, Mario sprays a blast of water during a Somersault.
