He attacks by throwing Bombs at Mario and friends, which the heroes must use against him. After dodging the Bombs, they should pick them up and throw them back at Mouser before they explode. He must be fought in the same way as the first time, but this time he takes six hits to Defeat.

Mouser is a large mouse who throws bombs in Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario Advance. Mouser is the last boss in Worlds 1, 3, and 5. When the game was re-released as Super Mario Advance, the addition of Robirdo as the boss of World 3 moved the second battle with Mouser to World 6-3, replacing the second battle with Triclyde.

Although Mouser was not featured in another Mario game for many years, he has played a big part in the game's marketing. He was a semi-regular on The Super Mario Bros. Super Show, which cast him as Bowser's right-hand minion. John Stocker provided the voice for Mouser, who spoke with a German accent in the series.

Mouser also occasionally appeared in the Super Mario Bros. comic books, which provided a backstory for him. According to the story "A Mouser in the Houser", Mouser was the king of a peaceful race of mice (all of whom looked just like him) living in the tunnels of the Mushroom Kingdom. But he was corrupted by Bowser, and as a result, his now-leaderless subjects now steal vegetables for food. Interestingly, Mouser himself was not as much of a major character in the comics as he was in the cartoon.

Mousers did make a semi-comeback in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island for the SNES. A probable sub-species are the Little Mousers. They were later used again in Paper Mario.

Mouser recently made a comeback in Mario Party Advance as the boss of the Duel Tower, although this Mouser resembled a blue Squeek/Little Mouser and only has a minor resemblance to Mouser.

Mousers are mice like creatures that were prominently featured in the Nintendo Comics System comic A Mouser In The Houser.

Mousers live underground in a subterranean maze of Warp Pipes, which they supposedly constructed. The most well known Mouser, aptly named Mouser was once the king of the Mousers until one day he was corrupted by Bowser into joining the Koopa Pack. After this, Mouser society began to crumble, the Mousers began to steal and pillage in order to survive. Eventually the Mousers decided to wage war against King Koopa but were to disorganized to wage a successful attack against the Koopa Pack.

The Mousers ended up abducting Princess Toadstool, the Mousers wished to make her their queen who would lead their army to victory against the forces of Bowser. In the end the princess declined becoming queen of the Mousers when the Mousers refused to help Mario when he was being attacked by their former king Mouser.

A group of Mousers later appear in another comic called The Buddy System. Here they capture Bowser and Mario and shackle them together. After interrogating Bowser the Mousers learned he wanted to blow up a water pipe in order to flood the Warp Pipe system. Against their better judgment this group of Mousers decided to aid Bowser in causing a flood. After blowing up a main waterpipe the water that gushed ended up washing these Mousers away.

Despite being mice Mousers are repulsed by cheese.

A sub-Species to Mouser called Little Mouser appears in Super Mario World 2: Yoshis Island. Other sub-Species include Nomadise, and Squeeks.
