Scuttle is one of Luigi's moves in Super Mario 64 DS. It is similar to Yoshi's Flutter Jump, except that it does not propel Luigi up. Instead, Scuttle will slow Luigi's descent after jumping. This will allow Luigi to reach greater horizontal distances and allows the player to easily control the landing. The animation for the move is Luigi kicking his feet in the air, which is also similar to a character's jump under the influence of a Mini Mushroom. This move can be used to reach the castle roof before all 150 Power Stars are collected.
