Excess Express Engineer, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

The Excess Express Engineer is the Toad that controls the Excess Express in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Bub, one of the passengers on the train, wants to be an engineer when he grows up. Get an autograph from the engineer and give it to Bub to receive a Shine Sprite.

Tattle

  • "That's the engineer of the Excess Express. Talk about a dream job for kids! But just saying you drive a train doesn't make you cool. You gotta LOVE the job! I mean, we're talking about a train, here. That's some serious responsibility!"

Trivia

  • Though the engineer's name is not known for sure, the autograph seems to read "Carl".
  • Despite being a Toad, the black cap that the Engineer wears is a bit smaller than the Mushroom usually seen on Toads' heads.
