A yellow Beezo.

Beezos (トンダリヤ, or "Tondariya" in Japan) are a sub-species of Shy Guys that first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 2, where they came in three colors: Red, green and gray. This sub-species appears to use tridents as weapons. They also have insect like wings on their back, which allow them to fly.

The Beezos attack by charging towards the player. They normally appear in large groups. There is an seemingly infinite number of Beezos and thus, they won't disappear until the player leaves the portion of the level they appear in.

There are two ways to defeat a Beezo. The players can throw Vegetables or other objects at a Beezo, or jump on one of them, pick it up, and throw it.

Beezos reappear in Super Mario Advance, in which they act the same way they do in Super Mario Bros 2, except that now Beezos are colored red and yellow. During gameplay, if the player defeats a single Beezo, the player acquires 4000 points total.

Beezos made several appearances in The Super Mario Bros Super Show!, usually serving as guards. In the episode "Love 'Em and Leave 'Em", instead of working for King Koopa, they worked for Queen Rotunda. Near the begnining of the episode, they attacked Mario and his friends; however Mario and his friends fought them with vegetables.

Beezos reappear in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, although they were renamed Shy Away.
