Chomp Chomps are golden Chain Chomps found in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. They can be found in the secret underground region of Bean Valley; this area is accessible via Warp Pipes on the surface. Fighting the solitary Chomp Chomp known to exist also plays a part in unlocking Grate Guy's Casino.
Trivia
- Interestingly, a Chain Chomp in Super Mario Sunshine became golden when getting into the Pianta Sauna of Pianta Village.
- In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, the second-to-last sentence in Goombella's Tattle for Chain-Chomps erroneously mentions the Chain-Chomp as "Chomp-Chomp", a name eerily similar to that of the obscure Chomp Chomp sub-species. However, this is thought to be a simple mistake.
- One of the three Chomps of The Underchomp is yellow, making it appear similar to a Chomp Chomp.
