Gunions are an octopus-like enemy in Super Mario Land, found in the Muda Kingdom. Gunions have a simple attack pattern and subdue the Marine Pop whenever it comes into range. If shot three times, it will split into two balls, each of which will home into Mario. Defeating a Gunion nets Mario an extra 400 points. Gunions are only found in World 2-3, the Marine Pop's level.
