Loveday first worked as a writer on the cult British gaming magazine Your Sinclair before being hired by Rare in 1994, for which he wrote the manuals and scripts of the Donkey Kong Country series. He also handled the Scribes feature on Rare's website, an online mailbag where Loveday would answer fan inquiries in a humorous and often sarcastic manner.

Leigh Loveday currently works as the editor of Rare's website and as the handler of its social media accounts.[1]
