[[Image:Nab8.jpg|right|frame|Cover Art]][[Mario]], [[Luigi]], [[Princess Toadstool]], [[Yoshi]], and the [[Mushroom King]] are on their way to [[Dinosaur Island]] for the International Dino-Flying Derby on the S.S. Moreltania. The king is steering the ship on "Automatic Pilot" and [[Toad]] is taking cookies out of an oven. As he begins to serve, though, he falls down a flight of stairs and the cookies go everywhere, and Toad loses his memory. Luigi and Yoshi lap up all the cookies. The Princess takes Yoshi to the games and the others go and get their seats. The show is run-down and horrible and Yoshi doesn't even appear. The king and Toad venture back to the boat to let Toad rest while Mario and Luigi investigate. After searching around and using special powers, they find Peach and Yoshi-- and they have been turned into stone statues! The find that the cause seems to be coming from [[Magikoopa]]'s castle, so they disguise themselves as [[Mega Mole|Mega Moles]] and sneak in the castle through an underground passage. They eventually come upon Magikoopa, who shrinks Luigi and knocks out Mario. Using a remote control, Luigi is zapped into a television and Magikoopa follows him. Luigi wakes Mario up and Mario switches the channel to a bowling show. Magikoopa is hit by a giant bowling ball and he becomes defeated. Luigi grows to his normal size and all of the statues return to normal, earning them congraulations from the Princess.

Flown the Koopa is the eighth book in the Nintendo Adventure Books series. The book was written by Matt Wayne. Its title is a pun on "flown the coop."

Plot synopsis[edit]

Sorcery Petrifies Dinosaurs
When Mario and Luigi arrive in Dinosaur Land for the annual Dino-Flying Derby, all of the dinosaurs have disappeared. The plumbers discover that Magikoopa has turned their dino-buddies into stone. To free their friends from their prematurely petrified state, the heroes must battle the vile magician—and win!
