Pompon Flowers,[1][2] also known as PomPom,[3] are flower enemies found in Super Mario Land. They walk around, shooting poisonous pollen upwards. Mario can defeat a Pompon Flower by jumping or shooting a Superball at one, obtaining 800 points. Pompon Flowers only appear in World 4-2 of the Chai Kingdom. Pompon Flowers look very similar to the Pansers from Super Mario Bros. 2 and to a lesser extent the Lava Lotuses from Super Mario Bros. 3, and may be related to them.[4]

In the Super Mario Land manga, a single Pompon Flower appears in the last chapter at the Chai Kingdom airport, with a Goombo and a Nyololin.
