Super Mario Bros. 3 (スーパーマリオブラザーズ3) is a short-lived Mario manga based on the eponymous game. It was written by Yukio Sawada and is a direct continuation of his Super Mario Bros. 2 manga. There are only two issues, the first was published in December 1988. The last issue was in the following month when it was discontinued due to the cancellation of Wanpaku Comic, the magazine it was published in. Because of its brevity, it was never republished in tankōbon format. Sawada then moved to CoroCoro Comics and started Super Mario-kun.
