The Toad Minister

The Toad Minister is a high-ranking government official in the Mushroom Kingdom. His only appearance to date is in Paper Mario. The minister is imprisoned by Bowser after the Koopa king captures Peach's Castle. Mario frees the Toad Minister, along with many other Toads, when the hero storms Bowser's Castle later in the game.

The Toad Minister is reminiscent of the Chancellor from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. In the Japanese version of Paper Mario, he was given the same title as the Chancellor in Super Mario RPG. Both wear green mushroom caps, have large mustaches, have gold trim on their robes and are high-ranking Mushroom Kingdom officials. He also bears a passing resemblance to Toadsworth.

Tattle

Goombario can use Tattle on the Toad Minister after Mario unlocks a cell in which the Toad Minister is imprisoned.

  • "This is the Toad Minister. Uh... Pleasure to meet you! My name is Goombario, sir. I'm Mario's right hand, sir. Just joking. But seriously, one day I'd love to be invited to a castle party. How about it?"
