Template:Infobox Mario Party Superstars is an upcoming installment in the Mario Party series for the Nintendo Switch set to be released on October 29, 2021, and is the twenty-fifth installment in the series overall. It is also the twelfth installment to be released on a home console, and the second installment to be released on the Nintendo Switch. The game follows the same gameplay style as its predecessor Super Mario Party and earlier installments in the series, features 100 minigames from past games in the series, similar to Mario Party: The Top 100, as well as five boards from Mario Party, Mario Party 2, and Mario Party 3. All game modes are available to play online.^[1]

Gameplay

Mario Party Superstars features minigames and boards from the past Mario Party series titles, while retaining many features from Super Mario Party. Players take turns hitting the dice block and moving around the board in order to collect coins and stars while a minigame plays after everyone has taken a turn. Much like games prior to Mario Party 9, the Dice Block rolls 1 through 10 instead of only 1 through 6. Items can be obtained and are generally based on the items seen in Super Mario Party. The boards also retain their original layouts while featuring a few alterations, such as the Goomba on Peach's Birthday Cake stopping the player after the top layer of the cake instead of before it. Some Spaces also see design changes, such as Event Spaces being exclamation marks instead of question marks and Chance Time Spaces being two arrows instead of an exclamation mark. Battle Minigames are now chosen from the default Free-for-all category and the player who landed on the space now hits a block to decide how many coins are collected for the minigame.

Custom Dice Block^[3] - "Roll whatever number you want from 1 to 10."
Cursed Dice Block^[3] - "Your die can roll only a number between 1 and 3."
Double Dice^[3] - "Roll 2 dice, then move the total amount." (Shop price: 5 coins)
Triple Dice^[3] - "Roll 3 dice, then move the total amount." (Shop price: 10 coins)
