In my opinion the name should be changed. I think it's absurd to trust a simple post on NeoGAF. Even the page is ambiguous, was it to be a 3D platformer or a racing game? Of course there would also be the statement of a user on a Croc site, but it is a fan site. And, even if we do not know what changes the prototype has undergone, it seems to me quite bizarre that a racing game has been used as the basis of a 3D platformer.--Alternis (talk) 08:43, 18 February 2019 (EST)

:I agree with the notion a NeoGaf post isn't enough to move the page title (I merely left it as an aside on the page until someone moved it without discussion), though I think it merits a mention. Also platformer racers are a thing (think Sonic R, Rayman Arena, etc). --Glowsquid (talk) 19:02, 18 February 2019 (EST)

Name

Someone claiming to be an employee of Argonaut claims the prototype was called "Yoshi Racing" (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=227362239&postcount=351), but it's just a forum post without nothing solid. Does anyone think this is worth mentioning somewhere on the page? --Glowsquid (talk) 14:17, 29 December 2016 (EST)

What would make neogaf more of a source than, say, some random person on another forum? Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 21:28, 31 December 2016 (EST)

*shrug* NeoGaf was known as an hub for developer and industry insiders before its bad reputation caught up to it, and the guy's messages mention being an employee of Argonanut as early as 2008.

Also for what it's worth, a (now-ded) Croc Fansite maintaned by a guy who claimed to have visited Argonaut's office also mentions Argonaut's Yoshi pitch was a racing game (in 2005 - wayyyy before the Eurogamer article was published), though he doesn't mention the "Yoshi Racing" name verbatim. --Glowsquid (talk) 21:40, 31 December 2016 (EST)
