The oasis is in the shape of the roman numeral of "3".
Desert Land or Desert Hill is the second world of Super Mario Bros. 3. This world has unique pyramid stages and is patrolled by many Hammer Bros.. Most of the levels have quick sand or Fire Snakes. A rare enemy in this world is The Sun, a creature who drops from the sky to hit Mario. This is the third and last location of a Warp Whistle.
