Cannonballs are shooting cannon foes in Super Mario Bros. 3. There are two style of cannonballs, one on top of the airship ceiling and the other on the ground shooting diagonally upwards. There is also an X style version of cannonballs that switch to an X every second. They try to hurt Mario or Luigi by shooting cannonballs at them. Avoid them at all costs. They could simply be gone by jumping on them.
