:Capture cards are not the preferred method of choice because of their intrusive nature. It's OK to use, but not recommended. Most users don't want to or even know how to safely tinker with their 3DSs. It also voids any active warranties. Homebrew can do this too, but it's harder for Nintendo to detect. As for NTR, looks like that isn't compatible with the latest firmware: [https://gbatemp.net/threads/385142].
