It helps [[Mario]], [[Luigi]] and [[Baby Mario|the]] [[Baby Luigi|babies]] reach the bottom of the [[Thwomp Caverns]] while chasing [[Bowser]] who presumably kidnapped [[Princess Peach]] who was really [[Princess Shroob]] in disguise. While ! Blocks are in the way of the Thwomp Elevator's falling, it comes to a stop and won't be able to descend until the bros and babies find and hit the corresponding [[! Switch]].
