Is this page really necessary? I realize we're a comprehensive guide to the ''Mario series'', but aren't minor things like this pushing it? Perhaps we could include this info on the individual character/item/stage articles, but do we need a separate list for this?--{{User|Knife}} 18:11, 3 January 2012 (EST)

:Theoretically, we'd have this info on the character or stage article lists, so it does seem redundant and unimportant; I support its deletion as well. {{User:Bop1996/sig}}

:Well, let's say a reader comes here looking for the notice that appears when Character A appears. Now, they check Character A's article and finds the info there. They decide to see if there's similarities between some of them, so they check Character B's article. They find the info there, and a trend is set. They can then check all the character articles they are curious about. Basically, our navigation doesn't suffer from just having them on character or stage pages, despite the fact that yes, having them all in one place is slightly more convenient. This aspect is very minor in the grand scheme of things and not really worth having them all in one place just for convenience's sake. {{User:Bop1996/sig}}

Based on my arguments above, I feel this page should be deleted. In case you don't want to read them, let me summarize them.

#{{User|Star knight}} It is useful to have this information, since the Notices listed here are saved in the game, and players can use this article to check and see if they have accomplished everything that has a Notice. If this information was spread across 50 articles, then players won't be able to check if they acquired all the Notices. One reason I use this wiki is to check if I accomplished everything I can in a video game. As for the minority of this topic, I quote the [[MarioWiki: Coverage]] article: "The Super Mario Wiki is a database focused on '''all''' aspects of the Mario series, '''including''' spin-off series and cross-over series." This article has information about an aspect of the game. If this is an encyclopedia, then it should have as much information as possible. Whether or not these reasons seem valid, the arguments for deleting are even less valid. Most say that this topic is minor. Since we should cover all aspects of games, the minority of topics really doesn't matter. People have also said that this gives to much coverage to the [[Super Smash Bros. series]]. ::The Smash Bros. series is considered to be a crossover series involving Mario and several other series, not a game in the ''Mario'' series of one of its spin-off series. Mario characters do appear in Smash Bros. games, so we cover the Mario-related elements of the series, and the really major elements (like other fighters) from other series as part of our coverage. We do try to keep the really minor aspects of this series on other articles or trimmed down, so that's why we don't cover tiers or things like that. We have an affiliate in NIWA that provides coverage on all the minor aspects of this series, so leaving an article about something highly minor like this here is highly unnecessary. Btw, the SmashWiki article is very well-organized and easy to find information on, so I'd rather read that, but that's just my opinion. {{User:Bop1996/sig}}
