Purple Coin Omelet is the fifth mission of Good Egg Galaxy of Super Mario Galaxy. Mario (or Luigi) must collect 100 Purple Coins. This mission can be played only if a Purple Comet orbits the Galaxy, which can happen once The Fate of the Universe, has been completed and the credits have rolled.

Layout

Mario lands on the pear planet. Here, he should follow the trail of fifteen Purple Coins until he finds a Launch Star trapped within an Item Crystal. From this Launch Star, while flying toward the rock planet, he collects ten more Purple Coins. Before landing on the rock planet, he intersects with another Launch Star, which should be activated. This Launch Star launches Mario to the egg planet, earning him another ten Purple Coins. On the egg planet, Mario can follow another trail of Purple Coins and receive ten Purple Coins. The trail ends with a Launch Star, which launches him toward the pear planet and gives him him ten more Purple Coins. While flying toward the pear planet, Mario should activate another Launch Star to obtain an additional ten Purple Coins. This instead sends him toward the rock planet, earning him another ten Purple Coins. Once on the rock planet, he finds a trail of fifteen Purple Coins, which he must collect whilst avoiding Boulders. The trail eventually culminates into a Launch Star, which leads Mario to the egg planet. This gives Mario ten more Purple Coins. During this time, Mario is launched into another Launch Star, which when activated, launches him into another trajectory that takes him to the pear planet, earning him the remaining ten Purple Coins of the mission. After he collects all 100 Purple Coins, a Power Star appears on the pear planet. Grabbing the Power Star ends the mission.
