The '''Year of Luigi''' was a special event held in [[List of Mario games by date#2013|2013]] and continued in [[List of Mario games by date#2014|2014]] in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of [[Luigi]]'s debut in ''[[Mario Bros. (game)|Mario Bros.]]'' which was first released on July 14th, 1983. Therefore, released during the event were several [[games]], [[Merchandise|collectibles]], and [[:Category:Downloadable content|downloadable content]] with Luigi as the main focus.
