Template:Badge-infobox Happy Heart is a badge in Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. In Paper Mario, it is found near Raphael the Raven's tree in Jade Jungle, and can be bought from Merlow for eight Star Pieces. In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, it can be found in Petal Meadows (in an area accessible only through a Pipe), bought from Dazzle for four Star Pieces, or potentially dropped by or stolen from Koopa Troopas, Shady Koopas, and Dark Koopas. Its effects differ slightly between games: if Mario equips it in Paper Mario, he gets healed for one HP at the end of every turn, and equipping multiple copies of Happy Heart increases the number of HP it heals incrementally. In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Mario has a chance of being healed by Happy Heart at the end of every turn, and equipping multiple copies increases both the healed HP and the chance of it healing, though it healing more HP becomes rarer as more badges are added.

Merluvlee's predictions in Paper Mario

  • "I see...a Happy Heart Badge. In the depths of the jungle, there is a tree atop which Raphael the Raven is said to make his home. A huge vine winds around it, and when you walk to its end, you'll find the Badge."
  • "I see...a Happy Heart Badge. There is a child upstairs in the fortune-teller's house on Shooting Star Summit. Hey! I'm that fortune-teller! Anyway, the child is my brother, Merlow. He will trade Star Pieces for Badges. Head upstairs to see him!"
