'''Thunder Lakitus''' are [[Lakitu]]s that shoots out a ball of energy, setting the ground on fire. Most noticeable in ''[[Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island]]'' level 5-1. They look tan or sun burnt, and carry a device (that probably conducts electricity) inside their clouds. The player will eventually know when they are about to attack because they make a loud noise and the screen flashes.

Thunder Lakitus are Lakitus that shoots out a ball of energy, setting the ground on fire. Most noticeable in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island level 5-1: BLIZZARD!!!. They look tan or sun burnt, and carry a device (that probably conducts electricity) inside their clouds. The player will eventually know when they are about to attack because they make a loud noise and the screen flashes.

Trivia

  • In The Great Mission to Rescue Princess Peach (which predated the existence of Thunder Lakitus by years), Mario got hold of a Lakitu's Cloud and, while attempting to pilot it, triggered several natural element-based features. One of these included orbs of energy raised on sticks (presumably the anime Lakitu's Cloud answer to control of sunlight); this feature made the cloud look ironically like that of the Thunder Lakitus.
