Template:Spmenemybox A Headbonk Goomba is a silver-colored Goomba that lives in Room 89 of the Flipside Pit of 100 Trials in Super Paper Mario. While it has similar colouration to the Goombas found in Bowser's Castle in Super Mario Bros., this species resides underground, like the Gloombas. As their name implies, these Goombas attack with Headbonks, unlike all other varieties of Goomba in Super Paper Mario, which will simply try to ram Mario and his party. Headbonk Goombas are encountered in large groups and when one attacks, the others quickly follow suit. The Headbonk Goomba was added to Super Paper Mario due to the absence of an RPG-styled battle system that the first two Paper Mario games had, and Headbonk was a move that all Goombas and Gloombas could perform.

There is a stronger and dark variant of this Goomba called the Dark Headbonk Goomba.
