Mario flipped into 3D on Lineland Road.

Flip is a technique used by Mario in the game Super Paper Mario. At the push of the 'A' button, Mario goes from 2D to 3D. However, there is a time limit as to how long he can stay in 3D; this is called the Flip Meter (which will never decrease after Mario collects his own Catch Card). Trivia

  • If the player takes damage or uses a healing item during the Dimension Flip, the Flip Meter will fully recharge. Using this method, the player can stay in the third dimension until they die or run out of healing items.
