Once they are defeated, he can head over a few more platforms, which appear to be rectangular, having flat tops. Small gaps of lava are between each of the platforms, and pillars of fire shoot out from them. Some small, sphere-shaped enemies also occupy the top part of the cavern. Deeper into the cavern are two small platforms in a large, open area. On the left side of the room, a giant monster shoots out of the fire and attacks the ape. While the characters fight, lava shoots around the stage, adding more challenges for Donkey Kong. Once the monster is defeated, a long platform slowly floats above the surface of the hot magma, allowing the ape to head on to the end of the cavern, where there are three platforms, each of them getting progressively taller. Between the platforms, pillars of lava shoot out and block the ape's path. A giant tree branch grows above the last two platforms, and on the branch is a large chili pepper. If the Kong bites into the pepper, the level ends.

===Boss Battles===
Double Tusk is then fought. The only difference between this boss and the other [[Tusk]]s is that there are two of them; one is pink camoflauge, and the other is brown, like the previous two tusks. They also share health. Double Tusk is fought in a sone-like area. Both of them will attack by firing cannonballs at the same time. Once one is defeated, the other will begin to use the attacks used by the other tusks. When they are defeated, both Tusks will slightly fall apart and deactivate.

====VS. Thunder Roc====
In the Wii version, the boss is Thunder Roc. He is fought in a location that is nearly the same as the other Rocs, but with a gigantic stone column in the middle of the course, with two trampoline vines at the bottom of the course and several helper monkeys, and can only be fought by cracking the egg he carries, like the others. Thunder Roc looks like the other Rocs, but is red and grey. During the battle, he fights will all the other Roc's attacks. When he reaches half his health, Thunder Roc gains the ability to create a gigantic Shadow Meteor, along with faster speed. When he is defeated, Thunder Roc's egg will crack some more, then shatter, and Thunder Roc will explode into numerous feathers.
