The archival aspect of it, especially so, for the reasons you stated, and I think it's the single most useful part of the template. The "deadlink" parameter, yet another useful aspect, automatically swaps the original url with the archive url to prioritize the archive if the source is deleted. I wanted names next to Facebook, X, and Discord, but RetroNintendo2008 suggested to keep them as icons, so now there's an inconsistent look with the Proposals, Forums, and IRC on the top right, where I grouped all the outlets for socializing.
