Super Mario Wiki content
Hi, I notice you've been copying content from Super Mario Wiki. I encourage you not to and here's why—this wiki is trying to write original articles different from that than other wikis, sites, you name it, for example Super Mario Wiki. In the past, numerous article were copied from Super Mario Wiki, and still today it's in the process of being changed to original article.
The reason why Donkey Kong Wiki wants to have original content is so we can be unique, and it's polite to write our own articles and not take from others. If we write original articles, our search results in Google and other search engines may even improve.
Images, on the other hand, we're a little less concerned of. You're allowed to take images from other sources (unless the uploader prohibits you from doing so). It's better to take images from other sources than article content, but it's good to upload original images too.
You'll need to upload a file before you put a link to it in a page. Since I assume you cannot upload files, you'll need to give me a link so that I can upload it for you. If that is not possible (in the case of the file being only on your computer) then you'll have to wait to be autoconfirmed (read my reply on User talk:Atari Jaguar#Uploading images). --The Retro Gamer 18:07, 4 May 2015 (EDT)
- Try and see if you can upload images on this wiki now. You should be autoconfirmed because your account is about five days old. If not, then maybe it's only user accounts one week and older who can upload images. Atari Jaguar (talk) 01:39, 8 May 2015 (EDT)
Yeah, but I don't know which is which when uploading files, nor do I know any sources to look for galleries, artworks, you name it. I also don't know how to make a file for any images.

- You can either click on a red image link to upload a file with that image's filename or use Special:Upload. Please remember to keep the titles relevant to the subject (e.g. DK DKJB Art.png) and not a jumble of letters and numbers (e.g. 303298DKAKDMCID.jpg). Also, when creating new articles, I would like for you yourself to remember to add its relevant categories. :) Atari Jaguar (talk) 16:54, 9 May 2015 (EDT)
In future, please refrain from uploading new versions of files which are identical or worse than the current version of the file. Pointless new versions of files just take up more memory space on the wiki. Also try not to upload the same file multiple times (as you did with "File:WiiU screenshot TV 01095.jpg", "File:Orang-utan Gang.jpg, and "File:WiiU screenshot GamePad 01095.jpg")
- This just came up in my mind: I suggest we don't stress Torey out too much about our editing guidelines (except for important ones like copyright, what's spam/vandalism, etc.). I know we do want contributors, but Torey's new and is still learning. He'll become a better contributor over time. I am completely supportive of advice, however, but I don't want us to shove it down Torey's throat. What's important is that he makes the effort to help.
- It's only a suggestion. I'm just worried we're stressing him too much with the rules. Atari Jaguar (talk) 10:28, 11 May 2015 (EDT)
Regarding a deletion request
Re:The vandalism earlier today
No problem. Torey (talk) 20:52, 27 June 2015 (EDT)Torey
If you want an image deleted in the future...
... go to DKWiki:Administrators' noticeboard#Deletion requests and add it under there if you feel like we aren't getting to it quickly enough or have not noticed the request. Also remember that unless you supply the duplicate file, we won't delete it until we find the file it's a duplicate of. --The Retro Gamer 10:06, 3 July 2015 (EDT)
You got it. Torey (talk) 10:11, 3 July 2015 (EDT)Torey
Heads-up on merge proposal
Since you've been a consistent editor in the past and edited somewhat recently, I thought I might give the heads-up on this proposal to merge Donkey Kong Wiki with Super Mario Wiki. --The Retro Gamer 15:46, 24 March 2018 (EDT)
