Players using Boost Mode with the Wii U GamePad can tap a Targeting Ted to make it explode.

In ''[[New Super Luigi U]]'' they appear in [[Larry's Trigger-Happy Castle]] as well as in [[Bowser Jr.]]'s first fight.
