Since these were split, we have seen [[Tanooki Mario]], [[Cat Mario|Cat Peach]], [[Gold Mario]], and MANY more in MKT appear as "distinct" from their non-powerup form. :Metal Mario's a special case, though, since he has the history to back up his appearances, like his appearance in the Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Dr. Mario 64, and Smash Bros.
