The official manual states that Luigi “excels at different events” than Mario. The best way to check that characters in types have different stats is via Fencing. Dr. Eggman moves faster than Peach in that mode (except when stepping), but Peach has slightly better stepping. You can also check for Technique values via how wide the field of view is for the Archery event. Characters in Tokyo 1964 however, have identical abilites. -- memoryman3 (talk) 09:14, November 9, 2019 (EST)

:Thanks for reporting, that was to be expected considered how the Wii U Rio game handled the stats. Considering how the three parameters - Strength, Speed and Technique - are translated in the statistics of the events, do you think you can rank the various characters in each parameter so we have at least a rough idea of the relative stats?—Mister Wu (talk) 12:38, November 9, 2019 (EST)

::On it. I have tested Archery for characters from Mario up til Sonic. Luigi has better technical ability than Mario, but is slower. Daisy’s a bit better than Sonic in terms of technique too, but is worse than Yoshi. Shadow and Sonic have the same speed -- memoryman3 (talk) 18:49, November 9, 2019 (EST)

Further testing has determined that the numerical stats for each character seem to be identical to Rio 2016 (Toadette's stats being the same as Toad's from that game). I will transfer the tables used in that game to this one. -- memoryman3 (talk) 17:39, November 27, 2019 (EST)
