:::I find it really odd to assume that the name "Chuckya" came from us, anyway. That would imply that the name is conjectural, which would be really strange given that the Chuckya article has the Super Mario 64 Player's Guide attached as the source of the name ''for years''. [https://www.mariowiki.com/index.php?title=Chuckya&diff=1833743&oldid=1832644 Nearly a decade], in fact. ''And the Player's Guide came out in 1996''. ::::"Came from us" is doing a lot of leg work here anyways. I don't think Nintendo did this for the EAD-developed ''Mario'' games (at least), but for the sake of argument, let's say the Mario Portal staff did use Super Mario Wiki to relocate the name "Chuckya" because they just did not keep good internal records. So what? We did not invent that name, we cited it from primary sources. That's one of the benefits have having wikis like this, and the users on Mario Wiki have done an excellent and rigorous job at tracking those names down. It puts professional taxonomists and Dark Horse-staff to shame, in my opinion at least. (Look at the discussion being held here over a ''hyphen''. Incredible.) That's not a Brazilian aardvark. That's consulting a well-cited, secondary source. And if Super Mario Wiki cannot be used for such purposes, then what's the point of us citing anything at all? - [[User:Nintendo101|Nintendo101]] ([[User talk:Nintendo101|talk]]) 12:09, February 23, 2024 (EST) | ::::"Came from us" is doing a lot of leg work here anyways.
