:Doesn't the DKC2 manual mention that the different K. Rools are aliases and not alter egos? ::No, or at least, not in the English ones. I have a scanned version of the GBA port which says "The leader of the pack is back" in Kaptain K. Merge Leo Luster into Bluster Kong

Proposal.svg This talk page section contains an unresolved talk page proposal. Please try to help and resolve the issue by voting or leaving a comment.

Current time: Saturday, May 25, 2024, 15:55 GMT

Using the same logic we used in merging Nurse Toadstool with Princess Peach, shouldn't this be merged as well? Not to mention there isn't to much information on this page to begin with.

Proposer: Knife (talk)
Voting start: 2 December, 2010, 11:50
Deadline: 16 December, 2010 23:59 GMT.

Support Merge

  1. Knife (talk) – Per proposal reasons.
  2. MrConcreteDonkey (talk) Per Knife.
  3. Marioguy1 (talk) - This could be expanded but just like King Koopa's numerous different names don't have articles, neither should a different name for Bluster Kong.
  4. BabyLuigiOnFire (talk) Per all.
  5. Mr.C (talk) - Per all.
  6. Ultramariologan (talk) Per all.
  7. Zero777 (talk) I am Zero! Per proposal. Zero signing out.
  8. MarioManiac (talk) Per all. But it's weird that Dr. Mario, Bowletta, Cackletta's Soul, and plenty of others have their own articles, though.
  9. New Super Mario (talk) Per Proposal
  10. Garlic Stapler (talk) Should be given it's own section in the Bluster Kong article. Per Knife.

Oppose Merge

  1. Arend (talk) - Not before we merged all of Mario's Power-Up transformations to Mario, and all of Wario's transformations to Wario. Also not before we merged Blizzard Midbus to Midbus, and Bowletta to Cackletta, etc.
  2. Bowser's luma (talk) Just because it is a small article doesn't mean it is unnecessary. Since we do have articles about Dr. Mario, Warioman, etc., I think either they be merged with Mario, Wario, etc., or we keep articles like this. I previously supported the not-merge of Nurse Toadstool for the same reasons.
  3. Fawfulfury65 (talk) Per my comments.

Comments

@Marioguy1: A bunch of King Koopa's alter egos actually do have articles for some reason; according to King Koopa's alter egos, eight of them do, with one having featured status. (Just wanted to point this out, I'm not saying Leo Luster should definitely keep his own article because of this.)--vellidragon 03:14, 3 December 2010 (UTC)

Honestly? Consistency fail much >_>
I think I may go propose those get merged into Bowser/The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. Episodes (or whatever that series is >_>). Marioguy1 (talk)

@Arend: This character has even less a role than Nurse Toadstool. It's an alter-ego that only appeared in one episode of a hardly famous series, about a character not many people know about. FakeIco MCD.png MrConcreteDonkey 23:16, 5 December 2010 (UTC)

Well, his role is how the important events of the episode take place so he actually is very important. Leo Luster has a completely different personality than Bluster and is created by a mix of potions (well, actually hair care products), just as Mario changes with special items. If you watch the episode, Bluster treats his Leo Luster form like a whole different character. Fawfulfury65 (talk)

@Knife: Nurse Toadstool was merged because she was no different than Princess Peach, besides the way she is dressed. Leo Luster is not the same as Bluster and he has a very different personality. Fawfulfury65 (talk)

But then what about King K. Rool? He has two other forms (with different attacks, abilities, and personalities) incorporated into his article and both of them are much more major than Leo Luster, who is "an alter-ego that only appeared in one episode of a hardly famous series, about a character not many people know about" (taken from MrConcreteDonkey).--Knife (talk) 19:28, 10 December 2010 (UTC)

Doesn't the DKC2 manual mention that the different K. Rools are aliases and not alter egos? I still also think it would only make sense to merge Mario's powerup forms if this is merged, because Leo Luster is created from a mixture of hair tonics, just like Mario changes forms with items.
